Mate & Music Open Mic - Old City, Philadelphia
Join Yerba Crew, Old City Kava, and musician Jack Faracchio of Adventure Lost for a relaxed daytime gathering centered around music, creativity, and the tradition of sharing yerba mate.
This community event will feature an open mic hosted by Jack, who will also perform alongside a small group of featured local artists. Throughout the afternoon, performers and guests will share music in an easygoing environment designed to encourage connection, collaboration, and creative expression.
The day will begin with a casual mateada as attendees arrive, meet one another, and settle into the space. Open mic sign-ups will follow, leading into a featured opening performance and a rotating lineup of artists. After the music portion wraps up, guests are welcome to stay, continue conversations, and enjoy the social atmosphere.
Yerba Crew will be preparing traditional hot mate and refreshing cold brew options for anyone interested in experiencing the drink that fuels creative communities across South America.

Yerba Crew Mateada
A “mateada” is casually defined as a meeting up of people to drink yerba mate together. It is at the core of many yerba mate cultures. No structure, just a chance to hang out and maybe make some new friends. BYOY (Bring Your Own Yerba) however there will be some extra yerba, mates, and bombillas for anyone new to yerba mate that want to give it a try.
